Such a big girl..yet still my tiny baby

Tori had her 2 week wellness visit at the doctor yesterday. She is back to her birth weight 6 lbs 15 oz and measured 20 inches long. Dr. C said everything looks great!!

One week already

Miss Tori Elizabeth has been a true blessing since the day Bryan and I found out we were pregnant (June 1st, 2009) but little did we know we would have such a beautiful outcome. Tori turned one week old on Tuesday Jan 19, 2010 (her original debut date). Here are a few pics that I took of her that day.

Bryan and Brandi (and Big Sister Bertha) would like to share our great news with you.

Tori Elizabeth has made her debut!! Born on January 12, 2010 @ 00:06 hours (12:06am) weighing 6 lbs 14.8 oz and was 19 3/4 inches long.

Everyone is doing great so far!!

The latest...

For those of you that don't know...here is what has been happening in the Gripka house.

Monday Jan 4th had my 38 week OB appt, BPP test (ultrasound to check on Tori) and Non-stress test. Tori did not pass the BPP test, sleepy little girl wouldn't move for anything. I am hoping that is a good thing in our future! She did gain almost a pound since the last ultrasound and was 5 lbs 15 oz during this visit.

Tuesday Jan 5th had a repeat BPP test, if she didn't pass this test we would go over to L&D and have a baby as soon as possible. Thank you Tori Elizabeth for being very active during your 30 min test..not sure Mommy was ready to have a baby Tuesday! Also on Tuesday we scheduled the C-Section.

Tori is still breech, not likely she is going to turn upside down on her own so we are going to deliver her via C-Section on Thursday January 14, 2010. Ready or not here comes Tori!!

My OCD and type A personality hit a bit on Monday night and I got everything organized and ready for her arrival (some may call this nesting). I have written down directions on how to post a blog and given my little brother access to our account so he will be posting something as soon as she is here.

4 more weeks...

The countdown is on...

Less than four weeks till our due date, January 19th, 2010!!

Recap of this week (don't choose to do it over..ever): Monday 36 wk appt everything went fine. Tuesday ultrasound to check on baby, yep she is breech, approx weight 5 lb 1 oz, heartbeat still really strong. Wednesday call from ultrasound tech stating another doctor in the office wants to schedule BPP test because she is breech and small for 36 weeks..here is where I lost it..what is this test, why are we doing it, is something wrong with Tori?? All of these questions flow through my head really quickly and I don't know what to do...one hour later I am back at the doctor's office having another ultrasound. Tori had 30 minutes to perform 4 tasks and the tech graded her on them..about 20-25 mins later she says "she passed with flying colors, 8 out of 8 points" and a sigh of relief exited my body.

Now Bryan and I are having daily chats with Little Gripka to flip around so everything else can go as planned :) Good luck to us right?? Yeah right!! Monday is another appt so we will discuss our options at that time w/ my regular OB.
