the mice will play..or while Daddy and Mama are away, Little Tori will play ;)
While Mama and Daddy were in Chicago Sister Dog and I got to stay with Papa G and GiGi. I had SO much fun and GiGi took lots of pictures to prove it!!
What kind of flowers are these?? We shall call them Tori Mums. While Papa Gary planted the mums GiGi and I supervised!
We had dinner on the back deck since the weather was so nice
I played in GiGi's kitchen cabinets
We had snack..I do love to eat!
I tried to help Papa fix his power washer, he thought I was too little to really help though.
Bertha and I played with leaves in the backyard..well..I played and she looked at me like I was silly..she is the one that is silly if you ask me :)
We sat back and relaxed
touched and tasted a pinecone for the first time
I love to smile pretty for GiGi
As you can see I had a AWESOME weekend at Papa and GiGi's house. I can't wait for the next time I get to stay with them!!!
**side note: I did one more really fun thing but Mama thinks it needs its own post so stay tuned**

9 months old
Tori celebrated 9 months last week on the 12th. Bryan was home that night so we did the nightly routine together. During dinner we reflected on how we no longer eat and have quiet adult conversations while eating and now have a chatter box who bangs on anything and everything she can get her hands on sitting with us each meal.
After dinner Tori got in the tubby where we talked about how much of dare devil we have on our hands. We made it nine months before we had to start baby-proofing everything. Tori now wants to stand in the bathtub and reach for the toys she has thrown out, or try to play with the drain. I am thinking it is almost time to start using the big tubby.
Then we got our jammies on and played in her room for a bit before bed time. Tori loves pulling up to and standing next to the gliding ottoman..even though it never stays still she goes right for it every night. Mama took some pics while she was playing with her nursery rhyme toy and her Elmo is SO BIG book!
And last before bed we took some pictures with "Mr Bear in the Chair". Tori is much bigger than the bear these days. She would much rather be on the floor playing or getting into the dresser drawers but we still took a few good pics :)

Anniversary Trip to Chicago
Daddy gave Mama a special anniversary gift this year, a weekend trip to Chicago! I am not really sure of what this place is really about yet but Mama sure was excited. She told me she has never been there and she was going to see lots of buildings, go shopping and eat some good food with Daddy. They flew out on Friday October 8th and came back on Sunday night. Mama said she had a BLAST and she took lots of pictures. Here are a few...
Orange Line on the train from the airport to hotel
ready to hit the town on Friday night
outside of our room looking straight down was a wedding - we looked right when the bride was coming down the aisle

best part about Marriott ~ chocolate on your bed at night
Bank of America - Chicago Marathon - 2010, Bryan has the fever after watching this out of our room window
waiting for the architectural tour boat
Trump International Hotel
corn cob lofts
Willis Tower formerly the Sears Tower
Michigan Ave
Navy Pier
Chicago Tribune building

Trying to teach Bertha how to play Black Jack!
Tori recently got her hands on a deck of cards, now she thinks she is big stuff! Notice how she is almost letting go of the ottoman and standing on her own!!

It's a Baby in a bar!!
"I demand a drink if you are going to bring me into Dirk's and make me sit here with all of the adults!!"
After we went to the pumpkin patch we took Papa and Grandma DeVore to Dirk's for lunch. Mama and Daddy used to go there to have adult beverages before I was born, now we go there as a family to have lunch sometimes :)

Park Hill High School Homecoming Parade
Mama got off work early on Friday October 1st so we were headed to the park by the high school. When we got to the end of our neighborhood we saw our neighbor friends waiting for the Homecoming Parade to start so we decided to stick around for it too!
The Sheriff's car leading the parade
Here comes the marching band - my favorite part!
Taking a break to play with my stroller wheels
I think I am a BIG girl!
